Playworkers

We are looking for fun, active, exciting, enthusiastic, motivated, creative problem solvers with experience of working with disabled children, young people and their families.

PARC (Essex) is recruiting new playworkers to join our amazing team based in Great Notley, Braintree. This is a unique opportunity to work with a well-established and respected local charity to help improve the wellbeing and life chances of disabled children and young people aged 0-25. At PARC we believe, every child has a right to play, regardless of their individual needs or abilities.

 

PARC (Essex) provides unique opportunities for children and young people to play, learn new skills and knowledge and to develop confidence and self-esteem.

 

Suitable candidates will have experience of working with disabled children and young people in a play environment and an ability to engage children of all ages and abilities in a range of play opportunities.

 

This role is on a casual basis with shifts available on weekly After School sessions, Saturday sessions and School holiday playschemes. We require staff that are committed, reliable and available for regular work in school term time and school holiday periods.

This is a fun and varied role working with a variety of children and young people

The role is focussed on play opportunities for disabled children and young people with an emphasis on fun and social interaction.

 

Location: Great Notley Country Park, Braintree, CM77 7FS

Rate of pay: between £6.73 and £8.21 per hour – dependant on age and qualifications

The successful applicant will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.

(Trainee) Team Leader

PARC (Essex) are recruiting a new (Trainee) Team Leader to join our amazing team based in Great Notley, Braintree. This is a unique opportunity to work with a well-established and respected local charity to help improve the wellbeing and life chances of disabled children and young people aged 0-25. At PARC we believe, every child has a right to play, regardless of their individual needs or abilities. PARC offers play opportunities on after school and youth clubs, Saturday sessions and school holiday playschemes.

Suitable candidates will hold a Level 3 qualification in Childcare or health and social care (desirable but not essential, unqualified candidates must be willing to undertake Level 3 training) as well as experience of leading a team within a childcare setting. A strong knowledge and understanding of children with additional needs is essential.

37.5 hours per week (Part time or Full time hours available). Rate of pay starting at £16,000 per year, based on experience and qualifications

The regular working hours for this role can be discussed in more detail at a later date.

Flexibility is required to cover school holiday periods, term time sessions and sickness.

The successful applicant will be subject to an enhanced DBS check.

We are always looking for people to volunteer their time whether it be helping out at our fundraising events, working directly at our PARC centre or volunteering in our PARC Charity shop.

 

Last year alone you donated over 1200 hours of your spare time for our services alone, saving us a huge £8000!

 

Without the kind donation of time from our amazing supporters, we wouldn't be able to continue to do what we do!
