Halstead Party In The Park 2015

On a bright and breezy summers evening in Halstead Public Gardens a mass of people came together to enjoy a night of quality live music and also raise money for PARC Essex. The fantastic team from local night club Scenarios and the Royal Shield Security Services sponsored and organised the event and after finding out about PARC through some locals that currently use our services chose us as their charity partner for the event.

The event began with an awesome opening acoustic offering from duo BonJack before PARC's event manager Ashley Roye took to the stage to inform the crowd of what PARC is all about and introduce the night's main attraction the Number 1 Ed Sheeran tribute act Jack Shepherd. He did a great job (and certainly looked the part) rolling off all of the superstar's best know hits and having the crowd singing along and cheering for more as the night skies descended and the show came to an end.

There was an amazing atmosphere throughout the night with the smell of the BBQ in the air, drinks flowing, kids running around and smiles and laughter everywhere you looked.

A number of PARC families and supporters attended. Our family support manager Paula Ross commented that "It was so lovely to be able to bring our kids along to an event where they fitted and were accepted so well" whilst Co-Chairman of the PARC committee Lorraine Joy noted that "It was a really nice evening that everyone enjoyed".

In total after costs a massive £500 was raised for PARC Essex which will go towards continuing to provide our vital service to the families of Braintree and beyond. A massive thank you once again to Dean Russell, Rachel Johnstone and the rest of the team who put together a great event for PARC Essex.
