NEWS: 21st DEC 2015 We'd like to say THANKS to two amazing groups of people who have both raised funds for PARC this year: Marconi donated £180 from their employee charity fund & the Friends of Braintree Community Hospital raised £400 from a Christmas raffle and singing Carols around the Christmas tree! Please help us give them a festive round of applause for all their hard work! Every donation means so much and helps us continue the work that we do! NEWS: 5th DEC 2015 Awesome time with the Santas on a Bike crew at the weekend, despite the treacherous weather conditions they still completed the charity ride from Thurrock to Great Notley, raising an amazing £186.25! A huge THANK YOU to all who took part and supported the event! The children from Saturday's session were super impressed too as they even got to sit on some of the bikes after the event! NEWS: 2nd OCT 2015 We're delighted to have received a Jack Petchey award at City Hall London, marking the 15th Anniversary of the Jack Petchey Foundation. We were given a £1,500 award in recognition of our work with young people.	NEWS: 17th SEPT 2015 PROVIDE AWARDS 2015: Last week we were lucky enough to receive a grant of £3,948 to fund a Pre-School Speech and Language Therapy Group for our Under 5's children at our PARC Centre. We are so thrilled to be able to offer this as part of our Under 5's services, and a huge thank you to the Essex Community Foundation and Provide to awarding us on the night. It's going to make a big difference to families in the local area. NEWS: 21st July 2015 MAKATON TRAINING Over the last two days, PARC staff have been learning Makaton for our children which has been kindly paid for by the fund set up in memory of Louise Dawson. Thirty staff took part and are now trained up to Stage 4. Louise's mentor and Makaton trainer, Julie Ford came to PARC and presented the training to our staff. A big thank you to Julie and to Catherine, who came to support her. We will be keeping Lou's legacy alive by offering further Makaton Courses at PARC in the future.	18th July 2015 HALSTEAD PARTY IN THE PARK 2015 On Saturday 5th June Halstead Public Gardens was the venue for the Halstead Party in PARK 2015. Organised and sponsored by Scenarios and Royal Shield it was an evening for the whole family that featured performances from BonJack and the number 1 Ed Sheeran Tribute act Jack Shepherd.
