CHILDREN UNDER 5
At our PARC Centre, we offer a range of activity sessions for pre-school aged children under the age of 5. Each of these sessions are focused on play in a fun, safe and secure environment.
Under Ofsted regulations we follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) which sets standards for the development, learning and care of children under the age of 5. We plan all our activities and sessions to encourage your child's development whatever their age, stage and ability.
By coming to PARC, you can gain a wealth of information and support from a network of experienced staff and parents.
Please note due to Covid Restrictions this service is currently temporarily suspended.
Our managers and team leaders are highly qualified and experienced in working within the educational and play led field
of Special Educational Needs.
Our main Under 5's Team are:

All of our core staff, playworkers and volunteers offer a wealth of experience between them including expertise in the fields
of nursery and primary education, first aid and a broad range of additional needs.
1. STAY & PLAY
This gives you the opportunity to enjoy the facilities PARC has to offer with your child as well as meeting other families.
2. SHORT BREAK
If your child is 2 ½ years or above then you can leave your child through the duration of the session with a one to one carer.

If you have a child under the age of 5 and wish to access our services you will be signposted to our Family Activity Clubs.
These sessions run three times a week and siblings under the age of 5 are also able to attend.
You have two options to choose from when accessing our clubs:
TUESDAYS & THURSDAYS 10AM - 12PM TERM TIME ONLY
COST:
£8 Per child for Stay & Play
£16 for a One to One Short Break with one of our Play Workers
MORE ABOUT THE SESSION:
We offer a great range of activities and finish each session with rhyme and sign time.
BOOKING REQUIRED?
You do not need to pre book in order to attend the session if you are staying with your child.
If you wish to use our Short Break service where you can leave your
child with one of our play workers during the session, then booking
is required. (A minimum 24 hours notice is required).

MORE ABOUT THE SESSION:
This is an informal session and all pre school children are welcome.
You can come along and access a wealth of information and speak to members of the PARC team, as well as meet others in a similar circumstance. Parents and new members are also welcome to attend without children,
but we ask that you still make a £4 contribution towards the cost of running the session. (Tea and coffee is included).
BOOKING REQUIRED?
No booking is required.
However, should you wish your child to be looked after during the session by one of our staff members, then booking is required for this option.
Please note that there is a £13.50 charge for this.
Please note that under no circumstances are children over the age of 5 permitted to attend any of our Under 5's Sessions.

UNDER 5's HOLIDAY ACTIVITY SCHEME
During the Easter, Summer and Christmas holidays, our Under 5's Team
organise a selection of trips for children who regularly attend our sessions.
We had a fantastic Summer in 2015 and would love to get some feedback from parents who attended any of our Under 5's trips.
